For many hundreds of years, humans have endowed cats with mystical qualities. Somewhere people loved them, somewhere they hated them, once they deified them, and once they were afraid, but they never remained indifferent to them.
Cat cults have survived for many centuries and have successfully survived to this day. One of them still exists in Japan, where it is believed that white cats are a symbol of integrity, black cats give protection from evil forces, and tricolors bring good luck. Continue reading
